What is “Great British Home Baking?”
While exquisite French patisserie and finely crafted Viennese sweets are extremely well known and adored, the UK actually has a long and proud history of a different kind of dessert – the homemade kind.
Some of these sweets might not be very fancy looking, but they are absolutely delicious. Often they are made simply, with unprocessed and wholesome ingredients, and they are all meant for sharing!
Whether it’s making them at home to share with friends and family, or spending time chatting with friends over afternoon tea, or perhaps sharing with people gathered around a table in celebration, it’s the warm and sincere person-to-person aspect of British Baking that makes it so Great.
